Recording Arts Student at Loyola Marymount University

Hello! My name is Erin Blach, and I’m a 20-year-old student at Loyola Marymount University, where I’m pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Recording Arts with a minor in Animation.

I grew up in Elko, a small town in rural Nevada, where limited resources and funding for public education and the arts shaped my early experiences. Despite these circumstances, throughout my whole childhood I was determined to make the most of my opportunities. I immersed myself in many creative extracurricular activities including dance, painting, music, and so much more which eventually led me to find my passion of creating audio-visual content. I taught myself video and sound editing and took the bold step of applying to a top film school my senior year of high school—something no one from my small hometown had ever done.

Now since attending Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, I’ve fully embraced the opportunities available to me that I hadn't had before. I've pushed myself work on more than 18 student films, become an exec member on both my cinematic fraternity and social sorority, work two jobs while being a full time student, and pursue multiple internships to broaden my experience, all while maintaining a 3.5 GPA.

I am grateful for the journey so far, and I’m excited to continue exploring the possibilities that lie ahead!
